Your Boyfriend's Back

Boy.friend den.im. A sturdy twill jean that is tight around the rear, but relaxed in the legs.

Fit matters. Boyfriend denim is meant to be loose, but they still need to fit,  If you can pull them off without the button, they're too big.  Make sure that they fit properly through the waist, and that they're not too baggy in the thighs.

Structure helps. Pair your baggy boyfriend denim with a fitted tee.  An over-sized tee or sweater may be too much.

Be girly.  Pair your boyfriend denim with feminine pieces. A floral appliqued tee or a ruffled blouse.

Add a belt.  A wide belt will give your waist definition and help balance the looser silhouette of the denim.

Keep cuffs messy.  The cuff on your denim shouldn't be crisp, it should be more of a roll.  Don't try too hard to make this perfect.

DIY Succulent Tutorial

In horticultural use, the term "succulent" is often used in a way which excludes plants that botanists would regard as succulents, such as cacti. Succulents are grown as ornamental plants because of their striking and unusual appearance.

It's that time of year that us Minnesotans take pride in our indoor and outdoor plants. One of my favorite plants to have in my indoor/outdoor space are Succulents.  They are one of the more lush and vibrant plants around....... not to mention the fact that they look fabulous in any space and require low maintenance.  This summer will be a busy timeline for us with all the events we'll be attending so I thought it would be nice to have some artificial plants in and outside of our home that require no maintenance.  I decided it was time for a little DIY project. Here is how I made a nice succulent centerpiece on a low budget.

What you'll need:
1. A planter (small or large)
2. A variety of artificial succulents (you can find fake succulents at Target, Michaels, JoAnn Fabrics)
3. Styrofoam ( either white or green)
4. Moss

Start with cutting your styrofoam to fit perfectly in your planter. You want your styrofoam to lay closer to the top of your planter so your succulents will lay a little over the top of the planter. Next, poke the bottom of the succulent stem through the styrofoam...... (you may need to cut the stem of your succulent so that the succulent will fit perfectly in your planter and not lay sideways...... if your using a deep planter you might not need to cut the stem).

Next,  Cover the styrofoam with moss ( you can also buy soil to layer over the styrofoam before you lay down the moss).  Before covering, wet the moss with water...... by doing so the moss has a more vibrant green color.

Here is the gorgeous finished product that requires no maintenance. And the best part is that no one will know your not watering them weekly!
