Ralph Lauren's Inspiring Bedford Estate

I couldn't help but be taken by this months Architectural Digest featuring Ralph Lauren's private estate in Bedford, New York.  Ralph is celebrating 30 years of his beautiful home collection.  1983 he decided to expand his empire to a "stylish life"........ he came at everything with a sense of how he wanted to live.  He wanted a more masculine edge to his home decor that he couldn't find so he decided to create it himself...... he began the same way in the 1960's when he couldn't find the wider neckties he desired to wear so he created them himself.  The key to Ralph Laurens success has been simple.... he creates for himself!  Here's a look into his beautiful get-away.  I hope you're as captivated as I was!

Tepee A collection of Indian blankets warms the inside of one of three guest tepees, which measures 28 feet in diameter. Since they have no heating or cooling systems, the structures are used in the milder months.
