Strawberry Shortcake In A Jar

I was in charge of desert for this Easter holiday.  I knew that I wanted to make something that would be super simple, but would be a WOW factor.  My requirements were fulfilled....taste delicious, looks over-the-top, and easy to whip up..... Strawberry Shortcake In A Jar!

The trick to making this desert is to use store bought angel food cake or pound cake.  The cake is yummy and makes the recipe easy to throw together.  You can use Reddi Whip, but I think homemade whipped cream is what makes the desert!

STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE IN A JAR

1 angel food cake or 1 pound cake, cubed
1 1/2 pints of fresh strawberries, quartered
strawberry glaze, store bought
1 can Reddi Whip
6 whole strawberries, garnish
4-6 half pint mason jars
ribbon

Start by prepping the mason jars by tying the ribbon around the mouth... set aside.
Then begin by washing the strawberries and cutting them into fours.  Mix them with the strawberry glaze... set aside. Cut the angel food cake into cubes... set aside.  Now the fun begins!
It is time to start the assembly line...
First Layer:  cubed angel food cake.
Second Layer:  glazed strawberries.
Third Layer:  Reddi Whip.
Repeat one more time and garnish with the whole strawberry.
Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Enjoy!
