I Married Adventure

Back in May of 2009 Colette called to tell me her and Dana (her husband) were eloping. I was over the moon ecstatic for her and knew I had to send her a care package before her big day being I wouldn't be there to help them celebrate.  I pieced together a bunch of hodgepodge items that would be with her on her special day and then take them on their honeymoon.  The last item I found to piece the package together seemed to be my favorite. A couple of weeks before their big day my mother and I were in a local antique store in my hometown of Watertown, South Dakota..... (The antique store is actually inside a home on Kemp Avenue).  I happened to stumble upon a book with the title  "I Married Adventure"......... the title was perfect and the print on the book was even more perfect.  I knew Colette needed this piece of art in her home being that her second love has always been design.  When it was time for my wedding I asked Colette if I could borrow the book for our wedding....... it was 'one' of my 'something borrowed' pieces.  Years later the book has made its appearance on many blogs, not to mention being in West Elm and Crate & Barrel ads.  Such a beautiful piece of art to own!
